Publishing responsibility
OLDGAMES is the site's publishing name. The site operator is responsible for selecting and maintaining published content and handling corrections. See About OLDGAMES and Contact & corrections for the public responsibility and contact information.
Catalogue records
The catalogue contains imported game metadata. It can contain incomplete or incorrect dates, developer names and player counts. Inclusion is not an endorsement, a distribution licence or confirmation of compatibility. Unknown details should remain unknown rather than be filled with guesses.
Source-based guides
The published game guides summarise referenced research material. Their sources are listed at the end. A source citation helps a reader check context; it does not establish permission to copy a work or prove that a game has been tested. Imported archive articles without sufficient provenance and added value are withheld from publication.
For controls and mechanics, prefer the original manual or publisher documentation for the named platform and edition. Archive records can identify a publication without verifying every gameplay instruction. Separate facts supported by those references from editorial advice, such as practice exercises and route suggestions. If editions or sources disagree, state the limitation rather than presenting an unverified detail as certain.
Gameplay claims
A hands-on test report must identify the game edition, test date, device or browser, procedure and observed result. A successful file download or emulator launch does not establish that a whole game works. Existing source-based guides should not be read as hands-on test reports. Runtime status describes a narrower technical check; it does not establish a complete playthrough or reliable save restoration.
Authorship and assistance
OLDGAMES publishes these reference pages. No individual expert identity or gameplay experience is claimed where it has not been documented. Automated formatting or drafting is not independent evidence for a fact; claims still need source checks and editorial responsibility.
Corrections
Send the exact page URL, disputed claim and supporting evidence through Contact & corrections. Check the affected platform and edition before changing an instruction or fact. Substantive corrections should describe what changed on the affected page and update its content date; spelling or layout changes do not establish a new fact-check. Republishing a site is not itself a reason to change an article's editorial date.
Rights and commercial content
Game availability and artwork are separate from editorial review. The Google AdSense script is limited to the homepage, published, indexable editorial pages and the library handbook; catalogue and archive pages do not load advertising code. This is not a claim that content has been approved by Google or by a rights holder.
