Match the pad to the game

Genesis games commonly name A, B and C inputs; some games also use a six-button pad. Check the player mapping for the selected title. Pressing the A key on a keyboard is not automatically the same as pressing Pad A.

A two-player label can describe co-op, competition or alternating turns. Streets of Rage 2 has simultaneous co-op and a separate Duel mode. Its game-specific guide explains the controls and friendly-fire behaviour.

Separate originals, sequels and modified editions
