About WarCraft II: Tides of Darkness

WarCraft II: Tides of Darkness — DOS edition
WarCraft II: Tides of Darkness · DOS · 1995

Warcraft II combines base building and army control with naval warfare, oil resources and an expanding fog of war.

Build an army on land and water

Workers gather gold and lumber while the base produces fighting units. Sea maps introduce oil and shipbuilding, adding another resource network to protect. Scouting matters because an unexplored or unattended area can hide a change in the opponent’s army.

Protect the oil route

Oil tankers gather the resource needed for the naval economy. On a sea map, protect their route between offshore platforms and the shore. A shipyard without a working oil supply leaves part of your production chain idle.

Tides of Darkness and its expansion

This entry is Tides of Darkness. Beyond the Dark Portal is an expansion with separate campaign content.
