The King of Fighters ’95 adds custom team selection to three-on-three fighting and introduces Iori Yagami.
KOF ’95 lets you build a team from characters who previously belonged to fixed groups. Choose three fighters and their order, then work through successive one-on-one bouts. Iori Yagami joins the cast as Kyo’s rival. Team editing is the reason to return: you can keep a favourite fighter while changing the other two matchups.
Use team editing to replace one unfamiliar character at a time. Keeping the other two gives you a useful comparison when a match goes badly. This is an approach to learning the roster, not a claim that one team beats every opponent.
The King of Fighters ’96 changes the movement system. The Advanced and Extra choice belongs to The King of Fighters ’97; guides built around those styles do not describe this game.
