Wolfenstein 3D centres on corridor navigation, keys, ammunition and hidden rooms behind movable wall sections.
You explore a maze of rooms from a first-person viewpoint, collecting supplies and finding the exit. Similar-looking corridors make route memory important. Secret wall sections can reveal health, ammunition and treasure that change how comfortably you can finish a floor.
Use the interaction command on a wall section when looking for a secret. Some panels move and expose supplies or treasure. Remember which corridor you came from before searching a side room, since the repeated wall patterns make it easy to lose your bearings.
Spear of Destiny is a separate campaign. For another DOS shooter with keys and hidden rooms, try Doom, which also provides an automap.
